I hate to see this. I thought that of all the iconic bands still not only rocking, but still sounding great, Cheap Trick was above this sort of thing. I thought that perhaps friendship played a larger part in this band than money, but I guess I'm wrong. I also understand the need to sometimes get off the road and slow down as age plays it's part in life. However, it seems money gets in the way of everything. It seems sidelined Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos is now suing the other three members, Rick Nielson, Robin Zander, and Tom Peterson... Oh, and to make things worse, they're former manager, David Frey, who was fired in 2012, is suing so he can get his job back. It seems Carlos alleges the other band members refused to allow him to participate in the activities of the band - you know - like playing drums, general operations etc... And Frey claims he couldn't be fired because his contract stipulates that in order to be fired, it had to be a unanimous vote, and since Bun E. Carlos isn't allowed to play in the reindeer games, he wants his gig back. If both Carlos and Frey win their lawsuits, and are allowed back, can you imagine how tense that tour bus is going to be?
