What I want to hear, and what I don't want to hear.
Roger Daltrey may be getting up in years, but he can still belt it out when his voice is properly rested. So I was happy to hear that The Who frontman is thinking about doing another solo album. He says he wants to keep singing, and he doesn't want to just go out and do Who songs all night. Even though fans would probably prefer that, I would love to hear new stuff from Roger.
On the other hand...
Yoko Ono has a new album. Why? I have no idea. I suppose she's bored. I don't want to hack on Yoko as an artist, because actually been impressed with a couple of things I've seen from her art exhibits. (Some not so much.) She clearly tries to think of art in an unconventional manner, however, I have never had the urge to listen to her sing, and I can't imagine who buys her stuff, outside of maybe some Lennon fanatics who buy it just because she was his wife. Anyway, her new album Take Me to the Land of Hell is scheduled to arrive September 17th.
