A lot has been made of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch doing very little interaction with the media during Super Bowl week. I started asking myself the question, "Does it really matter how much he talks?" I realize Lynch is a top running back in the NFL and that is the biggest reason why this is even a story. And I am sure me blogging about it isn't helping but oh well.
Maybe Marshawn is shy, maybe he is quiet or perhaps we realized why he doesn't talk, after dropping an S-bomb with Deion Sanders during an interview. However I have found the inspiration for Lynch's quiet demeanor and he is learning from the best. Check out this great interview with San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.
Here is another aspect of the media that drives me nuts. These dumb interviews between quarters of NBA games don't teach me anything except that cliches are alive and well. So congrats to Popovich and the other coaches who say as little as possible. Perhaps Pop can start giving one word answers or learn sign language.
