SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police will add 17 officers to Saturday's patrol for speed enforcement and, hopefully, accident control.
Captain Greg Vandekamp says the extra officers will be on the streets from 8 am to 4 pm.
Vandekamp says traffic volume is higher in the daytime. He says speeding and accidents in high complaint zones usually occur then, so that's the focus of Saturday's saturation patrol.
Vandekamp says the patrols will work Sioux Falls' most active complaint zones but he did not identify where those zones are.
