SIOUX FALLS, S.D (KELO AM) - Operation Timber Strike! has cleared almost 600 miles of Sioux Falls' streets in the branch pick-up program.
Public Works Director Mark Cotter says the goal of completing a city wide, initial pass by the end of the week should be reached.
Cotter says please don’t leave paper bags full of twigs on your tree branch piles. He says Ceres can't verify that only sticks are inside so they aren't able to pick them up. You can take paper bags with sticks to one of the free branch drop-off locations. He says the 69th Street and Cliff Avenue location has more capacity, so the lines should be shorter.
Cotter says there are 331 individuals working in Sioux Falls and 146 pieces of equipment in the field.
