Former Supertramp co-frontman Roger Hodgson kicked off a brief series of North American shows on Sunday night in Costa Mesa, California, and he also has a longer trek lined up in the fall.
The current run of gigs on his Breakfast in America Tour includes a total of five dates, and wraps up this coming Sunday, August 18, in Atlanta. The fall leg, meanwhile, which will see Hodgson visit a handful of cities in the Eastern U.S. and Canada, is mapped out from an October 17-18 stand in Montreal through a two-night engagement, November 1-2, in Rama, Canada. Hodgson will perform alongside an orchestra at the two Rama concerts, while he'll play with his current backing band at all the other dates.
In other news, Roger is planning to release a new concert album titled Classics Live 2 , a sequel to his recent Classics Live collection. The record will feature a variety of live renditions of the many memorable tunes from his catalog.
Hodgson, of course, is best known for writing and singing many of Supertramp's biggest hits, including "Give a Little Bit," "The Logical Song," "Take the Long Way Home," "Dreamer," "Breakfast in America" and "It's Raining Again."
