As expected, Fleetwood Mac has announced plans for a European tour that will follow its upcoming North American trek, which kicks off April 4 in Columbus, Ohio.  The overseas outing will get underway on September 20 in Dublin, Ireland, and is mapped out through an October 25 performance in Helsinki, Finland.  So far, the tour is scheduled to stop in a total of 11 European countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Sweden.

Starting with the North American trek, which runs through a July 6 concert in Sacramento, California, fans may get to hear the band play some brand-new tunes live.  In a recent interview with BBC 6 Radio, drummer Mick Fleetwood talked about the three new songs the group has recorded, which likely will be made available for purchase as digital downloads soon.

Fleetwood says the tracks could figure in "a long-term plan" for the band to record a new full-length album, adding, "I hope there's a demand for it."
