The Zombies have announced details of their planned visit to next month's South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, Texas. The influential British Invasion group, led by founding singer Colin Blunstone and keyboardist Rod Argent , will participate in a few events during the six-day conference.
On March 15 at 12:30 p.m. CT, Blunstone and Argent will be on hand for a Q&A session during which they'll discuss their music and storied career. Then, at 4 p.m. that same day, The Zombies will perform at the Stage on Sixth as part of a lineup curated by Paste magazine.
On March 16, the band will visit Austin's Waterloo Records at noon for an autograph-signing session and performance. The Zombies' official SXSW showcase will take place that evening at a new venue called Brazos Hall. The group will headline the multi-act concert, dubbed the Austin Psych Fest.
The Zombies' SXSW appearances come near the end of a North American tour that gets under way February 28 in Montreal. The band recently added three other concerts to their itinerary -- March 9 in Atlanta, March 13 in Dallas and March 17 in Houston.
