The Allman Brothers Band have added one more date to the 2013 edition of their annual residency at New York City's Beacon Theatre. The legendary Southern rock group will close out this year's run of shows with a performance on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, that starts at a special early time -- 7 p.m.
In addition, the first 2,200 people who buy tickets for the March 17 concert will be eligible to receive a free paperback copy of Gregg Allman's 2012 memoir, My Cross to Bear . Tickets for the show will be available starting this Friday at 9 a.m. ET. American Express Card members will be able to buy pre-sale tickets on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
The Allman Brothers Band's 2013 Beacon residency will kick off on March 1 and will include a total of 11 performances. The group's itinerary also includes appearances at Eric Clapton 's Crossroads Guitar Festival at New York's Madison Square Garden on April 12 and 13, as well as at their own Wanee Music Festival on April 19 and 20 in Live Oak, Florida.
