WASHINGTON, D.C. (KFGO NEWS) -- The U.S. House has narrowly approved the farm bill.
House republicans took a risky step by carving out the food program--eliminating the food stamp part of the measure.
The move does not mean it eliminates food stamps, but that its focus is strictly on agriculture.
It's unlikely the democratic-led senate will go along with the Houseversion of the bill.
They proposed a measure with smaller cuts to food stamps.
