It appears that the filmmakers behind the upcoming biopic about late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury will have to look for a new star for the movie.  According to Deadline , comic actor Sacha Baron Cohen , who reportedly been slated to portray the iconic rock singer, has decided to break free from the project because of creative differences with surviving Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor about the direction of the flick.

In an exclusive report, the website says Cohen wanted the movie to give an uncensored, R-rated account of the flamboyant Mercury's life, while the Queen band mates are hoping the flick will be more of a PG-rated look at the singer.  Cohen had brought screenwriter Peter Morgan into the project, while his Les Miserables director Tom Hooper was among a number of directors he'd suggested to helm the Mercury film, although May and Taylor apparently didn't approve his choices.

Among the groups involved in producing the movie are GK Films' Graham King and Tim Headington , Queen Films, Robert De Niro and American producer Jane Rosenthal .
