A Sioux Falls man stabs his wife and her nephew

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -  A Sioux Falls woman and her nephew were stabbed last night allegedly by her husband at their home on North Main Avenue

Officer Sam Clemens couldn’t say what led to the assault by 41-year-old Ricardo Jacobo Reyes.

Clemens says the woman was stabbed in her arm and her 22-year-old nephew was stabbed in the shoulder.  He says the woman also suffered bruises, abrasions and a black eye.  Investigators believe the nephew was stabbed when he tried to stop the attack.  The female vicitm didn't know when she was stabbed.  The weapon was kitchen knife.

Clemens says Reyes, who was intoxicated, was arrested hiding in a ravine just west of Falls Park.

He’s accused of spitting in an officer’s face and is charged with sliming, two counts of aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
