While The Who just kicked off the European leg of its 2013 Quadrophenia and More tour this past Saturday in Dublin, Ireland, frontman Roger Daltrey has plans to head back to the U.S. for a special show later this summer.  The 69-year-old singer will headline an August 10 concert at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, California, that's being held in conjunction with this year's OC (Orange County) Fair.

The event, part of the venue's Toyota Summer Concert Series, will raise money for the Teen Cancer America charity that Daltrey and Who band mate Pete Townshend co-founded.  Roger's solo gig takes the place of a concert that was to have featured founding Doors Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger . That show was canceled after Manzarek died last month after a battle with bile-duct cancer.

"I was very sorry to hear of Ray's passing," says Daltrey in a statement.  "I am sure he would have appreciated that the proceeds of this show will go to such a worthy cause as Teen Cancer America."

Tickets for Daltrey's performance can be purchased now via Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000.  Prices range from $39.95 to $69.95, not including fees and taxes.

The Who's current trek runs through a July 8 concert at London's Wembley Arena.
