Jackson Browne is among several artists who have signed on to perform at a benefit concert to help those affected by the deadly tornadoes that ripped through Moore, Oklahoma, last month. Dubbed Rock for Oklahoma, the event will take place on July 23 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

Other artists slated to take the stage at the event include Kings of Leon , Flaming Lips and Built to Spill .  A number of special surprise guests also are expected to perform.

Tickets for the Rock for Oklahoma concert will go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. CT through Ticketmaster.  All of the proceeds from the show will be given to central Oklahoma community organizations and local charities.

In other Browne news, the folk-rock star will appear at two editions of the Midnight Ramble in Woodstock, New York, next month.  The shows, scheduled for July 12 and 13, are part of the ongoing series of intimate jam sessions established by late Band singer/drummer Levon Helm at his home studios and barn.

Browne's summer tour schedule kicks off this Sunday with an appearance at the Steel Bridge Festival in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.  Visit JacksonBrowne.com to check out all of his upcoming dates.
