Paranoia gets the better of a Sioux Falls man and wife


SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -  A Sioux Falls man who thought there was an intruder in his garage was himself arrested last night for possession of methamphetamine.

     Officer Sam Clemens says 56-year-old William Michael Reed is also charged with maintaining a house where drugs are kept.

     Clemens says Reed’s wife, 22-year-old Stephanie Ray Willard is also charged with possession of meth and marijuana.

     Clemens says Reed's initial call to police was that he heard somebody in his garage and shop.  When officers arrived they found a baggie of meth and a pipe in the garage.  They discovered more meth and marijuana in their house. 

     Clemens says their three children; a three-year-old boy, a two-year-old girl and an eight-month-old boy were placed in protective cusody.

     There was no intruder.
