Professor Mick Jagger ?   The Rolling Stones roll into the English countryside this Saturday for their first-ever appearance at the famed Glastonbury Festival, and ahead of the big event, Jagger sat down with the BBC for a conversation that included speculation on what career he might have chosen, had he not become a world-famous rock star.

About his chosen occupation, Mick admits, "It is a slightly intellectually undemanding thing to do, being a rock singer, but y'know, you make the best of it."

As for contemplating doing another job, Jagger notes that that's something most people do at some point.  "A schoolteacher would've been very gratifying, I'm sure," he says, "and there's millions of things that you would've loved to have done -- a politician, a journalist."

He adds, "[There are] all these things you think [about doing] when you're a teenager," but suggests that dwelling on that and second-guessing your choice is "completely pointless."

The Rolling Stones hit the Glastonbury stage Saturday at 9 p.m. local time.
