A spirited hour-long performance by Aerosmith 's Steve Tyler and Joe Perry highlighted fashion designer John Varvatos ' 10th annual benefit for the Stuart House charity, held Sunday at the Varvatos store in West Hollywood, California.  According to RollingStone.com , the event was co-hosted by Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner , and was attended by a variety of rock stars, including Alice Cooper , Eddie Van Halen and Billy Idol .

Tyler and Perry's set featured such Aerosmith classics as "Dream On," "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way," as well as their take on The Beatles ' "Come Together."  To close out the show, they invited ex- Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash to join them for a rendition of the Aerosmith gem "Mama Kin."

During the benefit, Tyler and Perry both praised Varvatos for his devoted support of Stuart House, which aids children who have been sexually abused.

"It's about John's passion for children and this endeavor he's doing," Tyler told Rolling Stone . "It's about the swept-under-the-rug thing with kids where they're so young, they don't know what's going on, they've been abused sexually and they think it's their fault, which is a travesty beyond travesties."

Added Perry, "We're parents ourselves.  We read about kids that don't have the good fortune, and John's the kind of guy that when he hears about that stuff, he gets out there and does whatever he can to help them."

In conjunction with the benefit, a charity auction has been launched to raise funds for Stuart House.  Among the collectible items being offered are guitars signed by Tyler, Perry and Slash, Eddie Van Halen, ZZ Top , and Dave Matthews .  In addition, fans can bid until March 21 on a golf outing with Cooper.  Visit CharityBuzz.com to check out all the lots.
