Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO-AM) – Grangaard Construction, a contractor for the South Dakota Department of Transportation, will begin setting bridge girders over Interstate 229 between I-29 and Louise Ave. in Sioux Falls starting on Wednesday, March 20 at 8 p.m.
The contractor will close the northbound lanes of Interstate 229 between Interstate 29 and Louise Avenue between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The evening closures will continue every night beginning at 8 p.m. until all bridge girders have been set over the northbound lanes, which is anticipated to be completed by Monday morning, March 25 at 6 a.m.
This work is being done in conjunction with the I-229 Solberg-Tallgrass overpass project.
