SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police finished their investigation into last month's fatal, multi-car crash at 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue and have few answers.
Lieutentant Jerry Miller says the investigation shows that 32-year-old Troy Hahn's speed at impact was between 49 and 60 miles an hour.
Miller says Hahn did hit his brakes just prior to impact. He says there did not appear to be any mental state that investigators could determine which may have contributed to the accident. Miller says drugs and alcohol, medical conditions and mechanical defects have all been ruled out.
He says the event recorder on Hahn's Chevy Blazer recorded a 32 mile an hour drop in speed at impact. Still the Blazer continued, shearing off a sign and landing in the Taylor's Pantry parking lot.
Six people were injured and Hahn died at the scene of the late morning Valentine's Day crash.
