SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) – If you are looking to build, buy or fix up your current home, the Spring Parade of Homes can provide ideas to fit your needs. The Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire will have homes on display May 18 – 20 open for public viewing.
“You can get started by getting a copy of Home Ideas Magazine which gives the locations of the homes,” said Kevin Zomermaand, President of the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire. “If you are looking for something in your price range or want to dream big, we have 78 homes to choose from.”
Zomermaand said the homes are located in Sioux Falls, Harrisburg and Tea. When going to the homes, the builders ask to not let children climb or jump of furniture and that everyone wears the booties over their shoes or bare feet. Some of these homes have been sold and are open with permission of the buyers, so please respect their property like it is your own.
“The public will get to see all of the new innovations by the builders this year,” said Zomermaand. “When you go through the homes, you will also have an opportunity to talk with the builder. Now is the best time to get with the builders to answer questions.”
Zomermaand said the five dollar fee in some of the homes goes to the Home Builders Care Association. We do Tools For Schools, for local high schools and colleges, we give scholarships and do Repair Fair.
“There will also be awards given out for the different price ranges of houses,” said Zomermaand. “Go to Gas Stop, HyVee or Lewis Drug to get a map and Home Ideas Magazine to see these great homes.”
