VERMILLION, SD (KWSN) - University of South Dakota football will open its 2014 season against University of Oregon on Aug. 30 at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore. The Ducks are a part of the Coyotes’ non-conference schedule which includes a trip to Montana (Sept. 13) and a home game against North Dakota (Sept. 20).
“This is an opportunity for our team to see one of the top programs in the United States and play in one of the nation’s best facilities,” said USD head coach Joe Glenn. “It will be an experience that our players will be able to share with their children and grandchildren. Financially, it helps out our department and helps make ends meet.”
Oregon will be the seventh FBS opponent for the Coyotes in five seasons and first from the Pac-12 Conference. South Dakota is taking on Kansas this season on Sept. 7. The Coyotes’ signature win against an FBS opponent was a 41-38 victory against Minnesota in 2010.
