Heart already is getting into the holiday spirit by releasing to radio a pair of new Christmas-themed tunes that the band recorded with help from two distinct and distinctive popular singers.
The first song is a rendition of the 1960 yuletide classic "Please Come Home for Christmas" featuring frontwoman Ann Wilson duetting with Aaron Neville . The tune was written and originally recorded by blues singer Charles Brown , while the Eagles , Bon Jovi and Neville himself also have done their own versions.
The second track is an updated take on the old Welsh folk tune "All Through the Night," with Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson singing lead and '80s pop star Richard Marx delivering backing vocals.
Both songs were produced by multiple Grammy winner Emilio Estefan , husband of Gloria Estefan . No word yet on when the tracks will be available for purchase.
Meanwhile, Heart has several more dates left on its 2013 tour itinerary, and also has lined up a few shows next year. The band's next concert takes place this Friday in Ivins, Utah. Here's Heart's full upcoming schedule, according to Heart-Music.com :
