Bruce Springsteen apparently has confirmed reports that have been circulating around the Internet that he has plans to release a new song called "High Hopes" in the coming days. A message posted Monday on the Boss' official website , Facebook page and Twitter feed reads, simply, "Coming November 25," along with an image that appears to be the cover art for the single featuring a stylized photo of Springsteen, his name and the title "High Hopes."
Information about the song popped up on a few international music sellers' websites, including Sony Music's German site , which says the track will be available as a digital download on November 25.
"High Hopes" is a song written by Tim Scott McConnell , and recorded originally by McConnell's band The Havalinas . Springsteen first recorded a version for his hard-to-find 1996 EP Blood Brothers . Bruce and the E Street Band played the song frequently during their March 2013 tour of Australia.
