PIERRE, S.D. (KELO AM) – South Dakota officials announce the section of Interstate 90 between Murdo and Wall is now open.
Interstate 90 remains closed from Wall to the Wyoming border. Department of Transportation crews are working to get additional sections of interstate open during the day.
Motorists are reminded that even though this section of highway has been re-opened, travel west will be only as far as Wall. Motorists should also remember that difficult driving conditions could be encountered, with areas of ice and packed snow remaining from the strong fall storm that has moved out of the state. Motorists are urged to adjust to road and weather conditions.
Travelers are encouraged to visit www.safetravelusa.com/sd or call 511 to check the latest road conditions and travel advisories.
