Van Morrison is set to hit concert stages in the U.S. for the first time in more than three years.  The acclaimed singer/songwriter has scheduled two shows each in San Francisco and New York City next month.

The San Francisco performances will take place at the Masonic Hall on November 22 and 23, while the Big Apple events will be held at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on November 25 and the Beacon Theatre on November 26.  Van will be promoting his latest studio effort, Born to Sing: No Plan B , which was released in October of 2012.

Morrison has played plenty of concerts throughout the U.K., Ireland and Europe in recent years, but the last time his last tour of the States wrapped up in October 2010.

Meanwhile, this Tuesday will see the release of remastered and expanded versions of Morrison's landmark 1970 album Moondance .  The classic record will be available as a standard CD, a two-CD set and a deluxe edition containing five discs.

The deluxe version, which features four CDs and a Blu-ray audio disc, will offer 50 previously unreleased tracks, including multiple alternative takes of such memorable tunes as "Moondance," "Caravan," "Into the Mystic" and "Glad Tidings."  The two-disc edition, meanwhile, features a remastered version of the original Moondance album plus an 11-track CD of highlights culled from the deluxe version's other discs.

You can preview the extra disc from the two-CD Moondance reissue now at RollingStone.com , which is streaming the 11-track disc in its entirety.
