A bevy of famous music artists will gather at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta to pay tribute to The Allman Brothers Band 's founding frontman, Gregg Allman . The event, titled All My Friends: Celebrating the Songs & Voice of Gregg Allman, will include performances by the Allman Brothers themselves, as well as Jackson Browne , soul legend Sam Moore , Natalie Cole , Taj Mahal , John Hiatt , Train 's Pat Monahan and country stars Trace Adkins , Eric Church and Martina McBride .
The show, which is scheduled for January 10, will offer a variety of unique collaborations between various musicians on the bill. A number of surprise guests also are expected to join the festivities.
The concert will include a house band led by acclaimed producer Don Was . "Gregg Allman and his songs have been a deep and unmistakable influence on artists across Southern rock, blues, soul, gospel and country music," Was declares. Adds the concert's producer, Keith Wortman , "This incredible initial lineup of artists coming together to celebrate the man and his music is a genuine reflection of that."
