The Bee Gees ' Barry Gibb will team up with some of his talented family members to perform at the 2014 Love and Hope Ball , a fundraiser for the Diabetes Research Institute that's scheduled for February 15 at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Florida. Barry will be joined on stage at the benefit by his oldest son, Stephen , as well as by Samantha Gibb , his late brother Maurice 's daughter.
The event will mark the 40th anniversary of ball, which supports the institute in its mission of finding a cure for diabetes. The Gibb family members are longtime Love and Hope supporters, with Barry and his late brothers Maurice, Robin and Andy all having performed at previous editions the Love and Hope Ball. In addition, Barry and his wife, Linda , serve as chairpersons for the Love and Hope International organization and are on the board of directors of Diabetes Research Institute Foundation.
