Founding Foreigner singer Lou Gramm is the latest music star who's signed on to be a special guest performer in the Las Vegas production Raiding the Rock Vault , which takes place at the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Gramm will belt out a few hits by his old band at the multimedia classic-rock-themed extravaganza on five consecutive dates, October 18 through October 22.
Raiding the Rock Vault features a house band that includes Asia singer John Payne , ex- Heart guitarist Howard Leese and L.A. Guns ' Tracii Guns playing a set of memorable rock tunes from the 1960s, '70s and '80s.
"Lou Gramm is one of my favorite vocalists of all time," says Payne, Raiding the Rock Vault's creator, director and producer. "We pay tribute to the legend that is Foreigner in our show every night, and to have him here as part of the experience is beyond exciting."
Among the many other bands whose songs are played during the show are The Rolling Stones , The Who , The Doors , Led Zeppelin , Jimi Hendrix , The Eagles , Queen , Van Halen , AC/DC , Journey , Free and Deep Purple .
Before Gramm's Raiding the Rock Vault stint, ex- Yes frontman Jon Anderson is slated to take part in the production. His scheduled dates run from September 20 through September 24.
