Johnny Cash and influential blues guitarist Albert King are among the respected artists who'll be recognized at the second annual Memphis Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony.  A total of 13 honorees will be welcomed into the institution at the event, which is scheduled for November 7 at the Gibson Showcase Lounge in Memphis.  Among the other music luminaries who'll be inducted at the gala are Carla Thomas , funk-soul band The Bar-Kays , songwriter David Porter and Knox Phillips , the oldest son of late Sun Records founder Sam Phillips .

The 2013 Memphis Music Hall of Fame ceremony will feature musical tributes and homages to the inductees.  Tickets for the event cost $50 for reserved seats and $100 for premium seats.  Visit MemphisMusicHallofFame.com for more information.

The Memphis Music Hall of Fame is overseen by the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum, a nonprofit facility developed by the Smithsonian.  The initial class of inductees last year featured 25 honorees, including Elvis Presley , Jerry Lee Lewis , Otis Redding , Al Green , Isaac Hayes , Booker T. and The MG's , ZZ Top , The Staple Singers , B.B. King and Sam Phillips.
