Two of America's premier singer/songwriters will join forces for a pair of concerts in the New York City area this summer. John Fogerty and Jackson Browne will both hit the stage at shows scheduled for August 4 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, and August 5 at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers each will play full sets with their own current backing groups. Pre-sale seats for the concerts go on sale Tuesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. ET, while tickets will available to the general public starting this Saturday, April 5, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
Last April, Fogerty and Browne performed together, along with Tom Petty , at the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in honor of Randy Newman .
Meanwhile, Browne recently signed on to appear as one of the guest performers at an intimate show at the Los Angeles club Largo on April 30. The event, which has been curated by singer Inara George -- daughter of late Little Feat singer/guitarist Lowell George -- will feature various artists performing the compositions of L.A.-based singer/songwriter Eleni Mandel .
As for Fogerty, the ex- Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman has lined up several of his own 2014 U.S. appearances, including a May 4 performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and a recently scheduled August 7 show at the Erie County Fair in Hamburg, New York.
