SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Meteorologist Todd Heitkamp says the forecast for Sioux Falls now calls for four to six inches. Heitkamp expects snow early this afternoon.
Heitkamp says along with the snow strong northwest winds will reduce visibility and cause some drifting.
Heitkamp says the heaviest snow is forecast to fall from Yankton to Sioux Falls, northeast to Marshall, Minnesota. He saysup to ten inches of snow could fall in Marshall.
A Winter Weather Warning is in effect from one this afternoon until Friday morning at seven. Northwest winds will average 25 to 35 miles an hour Thursday night into Friday morning. This will cause blowing snow and reduce visibilities to less than half a mile.
