The Rolling Stones have officially announced plans to reschedule their recently postponed concerts in Australia and New Zealand for the fall. While specific information about the dates has yet to be confirmed, the shows now will be held from October 25 to November 22.
The band's Down Under tour leg originally was to have run from a March 19 performance in Perth, Australia, through an April 5 stop in Auckland, New Zealand. New dates for those shows, as well as for postponed events in five other Australian locations -- Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Macedon Ranges and Brisbane -- will be revealed soon. The tour's promoters have asked fans with tickets to hold on to them until they're notified about the rescheduled shows.
The Stones had just arrived in Australian in preparation for the tour kickoff when news of the suicide of Mick Jagger 's longtime girlfriend, L'Wren Scott , on March 17 led the rockers to shelve the trek.
Next up for The Rolling Stones will be a series of recently announced European shows , running from a May 26 visit to Oslo, Norway, through a July 3 appearance at Denmark's Roskilde Festival.
