The Who 's Roger Daltrey will be in Long Beach, California, on Sunday to help raise awareness about the Teen Cancer America charity during a special appearance at an IndyCar Series event in the city. The rock legend will attend the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach , and will announce details of a new charity initiative called the Road Rebellion Tour.
In addition, Daltrey will ride through the course with auto-racing legend Mario Andretti in a two-seat vehicle dubbed the "Fastest Seat in Sports" prior to the star of the race. As part of the campaign, IndyCar Series drivers Scott Dixon , Ryan Hunter-Reay and Justin Wilson and have been chosen to serve as Teen Cancer America ambassadors.
Daltrey co-founded Teen Cancer America with his Who band mate Pete Townshend in 2012. The organization's goal is to create special cancer units and treatments for young people at medical facilities across the U.S. The initiative is based on the U.K.'s Teenage Cancer Trust, for which Roger has long served as a patron.
