(WNFL)- Wily Peralta got off to a strong start this afternoon for the Milwaukee Brewers, as they close out their three-game home series with Saint Louis. Peralta gave up just one single in his first three innings against the Redbirds. He struck out three of the first ten batters he faced, without walking anybody. The Brewers had a pair of hits in the first two frames off Cardinals' starter Joe Kelly. Aramis Ramirez and Scooter Gennett had those hits. Milwaukee's offense virtually grinded to a halt since Monday when the Cardinals came to town. In two losses to the Redbirds, Milwaukee only scored a run on six hits. The Brewers still lead the National League Central division at 10-and-4. The Cardinals are a game back in second, with a four-game winning streak.
