Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - Most high conflict marriages end up in separation or divorce. Many times the children in these marriages become the bargaining chip of spite or power one parent holds over another. Using children as a lever to damage the emotions of the other parent is a form of child abuse.
Hoping to raise awareness of this prevalent form of child abuse, South Dakota Shared Parenting is hosting two rallies Friday, April 25th.
In Sioux Falls, the rally is scheduled for 5 to 7pm at the corner of 41st and Louise. In Rapid City, the event is scheduled to run from 11am - 1pm at Main Street Square.
As part of the 8th annual International Parental Alienation Day, simultaneous events will be held in many cities throughout the United States and around the world. South Dakota Shared Parenting supports children having equal access to two loving and supportive parents.
