Following Monday's taping of the star-studded concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles ' debut appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show , Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reportedly will return to the site of the 1964 event early next week to be interviewed about the historic performance.  According to Billboard , the two surviving Fab Four members are slated to share their memories with David Letterman while at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, and their conversation will be incorporated into the previously announced CBS special The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles .

The special, which airs on February 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, exactly 50 years after the band first hit the Sullivan Show stage, also will include highlights from Monday's concert at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  In addition, Billboard reports that the special will include interviews with people who were in the audience when The Beatles played on The Ed Sullivan Show as well as with people who worked on the program at the time.  Today, of course, the Ed Sullivan Theater is the home of CBS' Late Show with David Letterman .

As previously reported, McCartney and Starr performed together and separately during Monday's concert, which also featured appearances by Stevie Wonder , Jeff Lynne , The Eagles ' Joe Walsh , Eurythmics , Dave Grohl , Alicia Keys , Katy Perry and the late George Harrison 's son, Dhani , among others.
