The Who 's Roger Daltrey will head to the U.S. next month to perform at a benefit concert for the Teen Cancer America organization, which he co-founded with band mate Pete Townshend . Daltrey and his backing group will be joined by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts at the show, which will take place July 28 at Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
The event will specifically raise money for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, which in conjunction with Teen Cancer America is developing a unit geared toward the needs of teenagers and young adults battling the disease.
Daltrey will be performing a mix of classic Who songs, solo tunes and other material. Tickets for the concert go on sale to the general public starting this Friday at 10 a.m. ET, and can be purchased at KimmelCenter.org of the Kimmel Center Box Office.
