Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO-AM) - Tornadoes spun off by the deluge of a storm system flooding parts of the Sioux Falls area have been reported in  Southeastern South Dakota, near Sioux City Iowa and - most dangerously - in the Northeast Nebraska town of Wayne.

There are reports of major damage in Wayne and at least 15 injuries. Some damage reported in the Southeast South Dakota town of Jefferson.

the storm flooded roads and streets in the Sioux Falls area...and stalled cars. June is already the rainiest month in Sioux Falls history.

Here's one woman's experience: sheets of rain so strong the water was coming in a closed porch door, the hail was pelting down, and it was so dark, outdoor lights on her house came on in the middle of the day. Linda has lived just north of Renner for 16 years. She says there's really been nothing like this.

A five year old child was pulled from the floodwaters at Spencer Park in Sioux Falls Sunday afternoon. She was playing the shallows when she went in above her head. After CPR, the child was alert and crying.
