Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have signed on to headline the finale of the 2014 NCAA March Madness Music Festival, scheduled for April 4-6 at Reunion Park in Dallas. The free three-day event is being held in conjunction with the NCAA Men's Final Four college basketball championship games.
Springsteen and his group will perform on April 6 at a concert called the Capital One JamFest. The lineup for that event also includes pop-rock act .fun .
The March Madness fest will kick off April with the AT&T Block Party, headlined by country singer Jason Aldean . It also will include an April 5 event called the Coke Zero Countdown Concert, offering an afternoon performance by country superstar Tim McGraw , a live broadcast of the first semifinal game of the tournament, and an evening show by modern rockers The Killers .
No tickets are required to attend the NCAA March Madness Music Festival, which is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional performers for all three events will be announced soon. Visit NCAA.com/MusicFest for all the latest details on the event.
Springsteen and the E Street Band's March Madness fest show takes place two days before the group's previously announced U.S. tour kickoff date in Cincinnati. The trek is plotted out through a May 17-18 stand in Uncasville, Connecticut.
