The Eagles just wrapped up a winter U.S. leg of their ongoing History of the Eagles tour earlier this month and now the band has announced a new series of stateside concerts that will take place later in the year. The Eagles have confirmed a total of 15 dates, running from an August 25 show in Tacoma, Washington, through an October 4 gig in San Diego.
In between, the group will make stops in such major cities as Portland, Oregon; Salt Lake City; Omaha, Nebraska; New York; Boston; and Anaheim, California. The band also has lined up an August 29-30 engagement in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Tickets for the newly added concerts go on sale to the general public starting this Friday, March 28, at 10 a.m. local time. Advanced tickets and VIP packages already are available for American Express Card members.
Prior to the new U.S. shows, the Eagles will embark on a major European tour leg that's mapped out from a May 22 performance in Amsterdam, Netherlands, through a July 2 appearance in Lucca, Italy.
The History of the Eagles tour shows feature a career-spanning selection of classic songs by the group, including some tunes the band had never played live before the trek. Original Eagles guitarist Bernie Leadon has been a special guest performer throughout the tour.
