After initially airing on Showtime, a CD/DVD version of the Billy Joel documentary A Matter of Trust: The Bridge to Russia is hitting stores on May 19, but you can catch a sneak peek of one of the performances right now on Amazon.com.
As previously reported, A Matter of Trust: The Bridge to Russia documents Billy Joel's history-making concert tour of the former Soviet Union in 1987. He played six shows in all, in Moscow and in Leningrad, which is now known as St. Petersburg. Amazon is currently hosting the exclusive premiere of Billy's live performance of "Pressure," which has never been released before. In a nice touch at the end, instead of singing, "1, 2, 3, 4, Pressure!" he counts to four in Russian.
"Pressure," from 1982's The Nylon Curtain , is a song that Billy still plays in concert to this day. The fun of the video is seeing a much younger, slimmer Billy, with a lot more hair and a big-shouldered '80s jacket, belt out the tune while standing, not sitting, behind a piano.
A Matter of Trust: The Bridge to Russia is available in several different formats, including a deluxe edition boxed set, a stand-alone concert film and a two-CD set.
