Sioux Falls ranked No. 8 among the 25 best cities for an active retirement in an article on Forbes.com. Using available data, they identified cities that ranked high in bicycling and walking infrastructure, volunteerism, and availability of doctors, and low on crime rate.
According to the article, “The falls of the Big Sioux River, around which South Dakota's largest city grew, are conducive to active seniors.
