Michael Jackson 's posthumous album Xscape has debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart this week.
According to the publication , the King of Pop's disc sold 157,000 copies and became Jackson's tenth effort to reach the top 10. The set surpassed initial industry forecasts of approximately 150,000 to 155,000 in sales.
Jackson's most recent chart entry was 2010's Michael, which reached #3. It, like Xscape, was made up of previously unreleased tracks.
Meanwhile, "Love Never Felt So Good," the lead single from Xscape , moved from #22 to #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, meaning Jackson has become the first artist ever to score top 10 hits in five different decades. The track, which features Justin Timberlake , also was MJ's 28th top 40 hit overall on the chart.
In other news, country legend Dolly Parton 's new release, Blue Smoke , landed at #6 on the Billboard 200 with 37,000 copies sold. That's Parton's highest-charting album ever on the tally and her best sales week in more than 20 years. Blue Smoke also bowed #2 on Billboard 's Country Albums chart.
