Last week, Led Zeppelin debuted a trailer for the upcoming deluxe reissues of the band's classic 1971 album, Led Zeppelin IV , that featured a segment of an unreleased rough early mix of the record's lead track, "Black Dog."  Now, a full version of the rarity has premiered on RollingStone.com .

The song, which kicks off the companion audio disc included with the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions of Led Zeppelin IV , is titled "Black Dog (Basic Track with Guitar Overdubs)" and is notable for some of the extremely high notes frontman Robert Plant hits.

"'Black Dog' is obviously one of the songs that Led Zeppelin is really noted for," guitarist Jimmy Page , who's overseeing the reissue campaign, tells Rolling Stone .  "It's one of the powerhouse numbers that we did with an incredible riff.  The version on the companion disc is a rough mix in its early stage with minimal guitar overdubs and Robert's original vocal.  And you can hear how mean it is."

The Led Zeppelin IV bonus disc will feature unheard versions of all eight songs from the original album, including an alternate version of "Stairway to Heaven" that was recorded at Sunset Sound Studio in Los Angeles.

The remastered editions of Led Zeppelin IV will be released on October 28, as will revamped versions of the group's 1973 album, Houses of the Holy .  For details about the different configurations of the reissues that will be available for purchase, visit LedZeppelin.com .
