SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Judge Karen Schreier, first woman to be appointed as a judge to the Federal District Court in South Dakota, will discuss Her Vote. Her Voice. 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, granting most women in America the right to vote. To commemorate this milestone in women’s history, Governor Kristi Noem appointed a Women’s Vote Centennial Delegation to organize statewide celebrations, gather historical artifacts, develop educational materials about the suffrage movement and more.
The meeting will be held at the Washington Pavilion – Belbas Theatre and will begin at noon. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and seating. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. Please use this link to purchase your lunch that will be available for pick up following the meeting.
Face masks will be strongly encouraged for all attending. Judge Schreier has requested that all attendees wear masks to help ensure that she remains healthy and is able to continue presiding over her very full docket of cases.
