LENNOX, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Lennox School District School bus became engulfed in flames Wednesday morning west of the Worthing exit on I-29.
There were 12 school children on the bus. Authorities report the bus driver was able to get them off the bus safely.
Due to the cold temperatures, the children waited in South Dakota Highway Patrol and Lennox Police Department cars until another bus picked them up.
The fire is still under investigation.
