SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — According to the 2020 Census, Americans are flocking to major cities that are at risk for major natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes.
However, that same data shows that the KELO Radio listening area is among the least likely to experience dangerous natural conditions.
FEMA rates Lincoln, Turner, and McCook Counties as having low risk.
They rate Moody and Lake Counties as having relatively low risk.
Minnehaha County had one of the higher danger rates in the area, according to FEMA, at a relatively moderate level.
