SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Wednesday at 9:43 PM Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 700 block of South Euclid Ave. for a report of a structure fire.
The first arriving fire company discovered a single-family home with heavy smoke inside. It was reported at that time that all occupants had exited the structure. A basement fire was quickly discovered and extinguished. The rest of the home was searched to confirm no occupants were still inside. Crews ensured there was no extension of fire to other areas of the home. The home was heavily damaged by fire and smoke.
No civilian or firefighter injuries occurred during this incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Sioux Falls Fire Rescue and the Sioux Falls Police Department.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 4 fire trucks, 3 support vehicles, and 21 personnel.
