SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Pope Francis is asking Catholics around the world and in the KELO Radio listening area to pray for peace for Ukraine and Russia.
Pope Francis is calling it a “consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary” for the two warring nations, something that one local Catholic says is unusual.
The Pope wants all Catholics and parishes to pray and hold services Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Sioux Falls Diocese Bishop Donald DeGrood issued the Pope’s request of area Catholics Thursday via email.
