SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The City of Sioux Falls is inviting the public to gather at the statue of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday to honor his legacy.
A proclamation will be read by Mayor TenHaken to reflect on Dr. King’s life.
Also speaking will be Julian Beaudion, Executive Director of the SD African American History Museum, as well as ACE Academy Class Representative Jamiah Beaudion.
Dr. King’s statue is located at Van Eps Park, 300 North Minnesota Avenue.
The proclamation will be read at 11:30 a.m.
